Betty painted over 800 small and large canvasses, capturing images of houses, cityscapes, landscapes, rail yards and dockside scenes from 1954-2000. During that time, many heritage homes were demolished in the ongoing waves of urban renewal. Some of these houses still stand into the 21st century, but most are gone.
