Welcome!

Known as the "House Painter of Portland," Betty lived in the same Buckman neighborhood home for over seventy years. From 1955-1995 she chronicled historic homes, architecture, and cityscapes, creating a stunning visual archive of mid/late-century Portland, before urban ​renewal ​projects ​changed the city forever.

This site showcases her paintings & drawings,
gives you a chance to learn more about her and  her work, to purchase original art or art prints, and to engage ​with our community in a fluid conversation ​about Portland's growing
